Can I tell you a secret? When I first started growing my following on Instagram I didn’t really know what an influencer was.

Fast forward a few years and now I’ve got people reaching out to me daily with more influencer opportunities than I could ever realistically take on. The demand for influencers is just gonna keep growing.

As an influencer, it's important to understand the power of saying, "No!" Sure, it's tempting to take every free item or paid promotion but the true meaning of an influencer is protecting the scope of influence you have. All it takes is one terrible campaign to lose the trust of the followers you worked so hard to gain. 

Before we go any further, let me introduce myself… I’m a small town Wisconsin educator, photographer, and podcaster with big dreams. I also really like Mac n’ Cheese, the Bachelor, and yoga pants.
